TIME TO SWITCH GEARS

You’ve struggled through the alien citadel. Sure, it was dormant, but the security systems are still active. Finally, you are in the control room. If you can activate the citadel’s main power system, the universe will experience something really cool that will make everyone like you. But… there are no controls. Finally, you see it: a floating, geared ball. You reach for it, twisting and turning as the gears and colors shift. And then, voila. The colors align and the citadel wakes. And so do you, dang it. But at least you really have a Gear Ball Puzzle Sphere?

Each Gear Ball Puzzle Sphere is just about what the name sounds like. Turn the ball to get the colors aligned (or messed up) and joy to the smooth movement of the gears. Heck, we don’t even want to solve it most of the time we pick it up; we just like the feel and the sound of the gears. It’s meditative. You won’t be able to awaken any alien bases with your Gear Ball Puzzle Sphere (at least, we can’t guarantee it), but everyone will like you if you have one (also, not guaranteed, but highly likely).

Mickey The True Original Chess Set

For a mouse who’s 90 years old, Mickey is still pretty spry. He just goes on whistling as he drives his steamboat down the river without a care in the world. He just want to spread that special joy and nostalgia that only he can bring to the table. The kind of joy that makes you want to crush your opponent at chess.

Batman: The Animated Series – Gotham City Under Siege

Batman: The Animated Series was a game changer in terms of both storytelling and artistic direction. So it only seems fitting that IDW Games should give it an epic board game, befitting its status. Say hello to Gotham City Under Siege.

Fallout: Wasteland Warfare Two Player Starter Set

Some of us here at ThinkGeek World Domination HQ haven’t been able to play Fallout since good ol’ top-down FO1 and FO2 because of stupid motion sickness. And while we’re waiting for our pre-ordered Citroen glasses from Boarding Ring to ship (yes, we are that geeky), it’d be nice to be able to have our faces eaten by super mutants just like the rest of our friends.
